L4350dt, bought used in good condition with front end loader, bush hog and 72" finish mower.

Removed front end, ( bucket), not needed to cut grass.

Lift arms do not move, unable to lift mower, worked with bucket when I bought the tractor.

Seller came over, he could not make the arms work either.

Does the bucket hydraulics have to be hooked up for the lift arms to work???
Or what else could be malfunctioning?
Thanks, Ernie

When you removed the loader, did you reconnect the flex line back to reroute the hydraulics? Assuming it works that way (open system) on the L4350...

Did the load valve come off with the loader?
What did you do with the lines that connected it to the tractor?
If you removed the lines and plugged the holes you need to turn the selector valve to pass hydraulic fluid to the back, most likely it will have a slotted screw driver head.
If you've run the tractor for very long it's possible that you could have blow the seals out of the hydraulic pump because the pump was dead headed (no fluid flow), keep an eye on the engine oil level because if it blew the seal that is where the fluid will go.

The selector valve you mention, that is similar to the L4610 where its located under the footboard ? I didnt realize it needed to be switched when loader removed. Good to know.
