I have a brand new landpride finish mower fdr2584. I pull it with a l4060 grand a 2.8- 3 mph. I’m using high lift blades. Grass is only max height if 10 inches. Why does it pile the grass out the right side of mower??? Land pride says it’s cause grass is wet and due to poor tip speed. I’m not buying it. As a side note I upgraded this mower from a landpride Fdr2572 which cut amazing. The attached photo is on one pass, each get worse just pushing grass more. Any help?

Wet grass, slow tip-speed, fast ground speed. Otherwise, you may have blades loose on the spindles and they’re slipping as they get resistance from the grass.

Found these details describing low lift and high lift blades.

Low lift mower blades have slightly curved ends that keep air flow to a minimum. The lack of suction allows cut grass to exit the mower while keeping dust and debris levels down. John Deere notes that low lift mower blades cause less engine strain than high lift blades.

High lift blades have deeper curves on the ends, which create enough suction to circulate and send grass clippings into a bagger. The higher air flow also helps prevent clogging when mowing tall or wet grass. Without a bagger, these blades cause excess engine load and don’t expel grass clippings as efficiently as low lift blades.

It would seem that high lift blades are working against you in this situation.

The part that hasn't been mentioned so far is:

" Grass is only max height if 10 inches. "

If I wait till the grass is 10" tall and cut more than half of it off, I don't expect any deck to make the clippings disappear.

Agreed.

Ten inches is a lot to ask of any finish mower regardless of blades or grass clearance.

Does the New 84” mower use 3 or 4 blades?

My anecdotal observation is that smaller decks cut nicer than big wide decks, probably due to better air and material flow under the deck. When I decided I needed to cut lawns faster I went with a 60” ZTR which cuts in 1/4 the time of my 72” finishing mower. I use the finishing mower for rough cut now. I get more clippings with it because I’m letting the grass grow too long. If I want a nicer finish I have to cut more frequently.

I appreciate all the remarks. I just used it again and was only going 2.1 mph and the grass wasn’t 6 inches. What I did notice was the side that is clumping the the deck is bent down. I think that’s the issue the other side it perfectly straight. The picture show both sides.
I don’t believe that minor difference is the contributing factor. Look beneath the mower.

All I can say is it’s a$4500 price a metal. Very disappointed.
Not discounting the fact that there may be something wrong with your deck, but my FDR3690 does a really good job cutting and spreading the clippings evenly. I mow at 5 mph with my L4701 at rated PTO speed when the grass is 6-8 inches tall and have it set for about a 3.5" grass height. I keep other areas around the house mowed closer with my Z725 and GR2120.

Did the dealer tell you anything useful? Same mower same issue. Ivan cut 3 inch grass and it still windrows. I’ve used the medium lift blade and the mulching blades.
