I got to try out my brand new brush mower with my new-to-me Kubota L3750. I cut about 2 acres of tall grass 3-4 times a year. It had gotten about 3 feet tall due to wet conditions that delayed my first mowing of the year, but the tractor handled it with ease. My last tractor, a Ford 1000 with 4 ft. brush mower would have been working hard to cut that down but the Kubota didn't even notice!

That's a good looking setup there, looks ready to tackle some tough stuff.

I'm shocked the 25hp Ford 1000 didnt handle the bush hogging chorse that easily. I have a Kubota B6100 thats 14hp and run a 4ft Woods hog and I've cut down stuff that was over the hood of the tractor before with no problem.

I used a 60" brush hog with my L185 - 13.5 PTO horses - for 30 years. Sometimes I had to mow in 1st gear! My neighbor had some sort of Ford (8N?) tractor with a low gear about the same as my 5th gear. Something like that could explain things. He didn't do well with anything that required slow.

Nice tractor and cutter. I put chains on my LP RCR2672, never had much luck with the rubber guards. I mow some pretty rough stuff though.
