Just bought a 2000 L3710. We got it off the trailer and parked it and now the loader won't raise. Can't see fluid in the sight glass but it may be clouded over. I added a gallon and no change.

All other hydro functions seem to be fine - but when I pull down on the lever (self leveling, one handle) the piston doesn't come out of the control.

I assume it's full of junk and seized. Sprayed WD40 and white lith grease in it yesterday.

When I pulled back think I felt a pop but not sure.

Edit: I removed hose from that side and no fluid in it. I expected it to have a little pressure and pour out a bit.

I've also got an M5700 and replaced the front axle seals so pretty handy - but didn't want to start hacking on this thing without some direction. And it's in my neighbors lot (with his newer Kubotas at least) and I'm not near most of my tools and shop lol. Perfect.

TIA

Are you saying the joystick lever (handle) won't move? If the lever moves but the spool does not the linkage has come apart.

Yes, until the piston stops it. Piston is moving maybe 1/8 forward, zero out other than that 1/8"
In my world that means the lever is jammed and does not move as it should.

Swap the bucket and lift hoses and you can get the loader off the ground to move the tractor.

Once you get it in the shop you will need to remove the lift work section from the valve assembly and take it apart to determine what is frozen. If you are not experienced in these things probably best to take it to a hydraulic repair shop. Or a new work section can be purchased from Kubota for a modest $1200. 😲

Looking at the parts diagram I see there are two joy stick options. One is mounted directly on the valve with helm joints. The other is cable operated and mounted some distance from the valve. Which do you have?

Welp, I got it up to my place and took the boom side of the valve apart. It was full of rust and dirt at the bottom. It's raising great now, but when I lower it, I have to push a bit hard half way through and it sort of "pops". Any ideas? TIA!

Sounds like it's still sticking. Clean it better?

Everything was shiny clean except for the cup liner , 31 in the image below. That bearing and spring (32 and 33) didn't reach the bottom of 30 so not sure how that works.
The valve has two lower positions. - one is hydraulix pressure down and the second is gravity down. A mechanicsl spring loaded stop (detent) separates the two. To get to the floar position you have to push the spool in far enough to overcome the detent. Is that the "pop" you are describing?

The spring is not supposed to contact the cover (#30).

Thaks a bunch Dan - I bet that's exactly what it is based on the behavior.
