Well first of all the LA481 model number is a front end loader!

The matching tractors are a Grand L 3010/3410.

If memory serves, the GST and gear models have a foot throttle along with the hand throttle.

Remove the right hand engine side cover and try to follow the linkage along to the front to the injection pump, I am sure you will see the issue.

Yup, and hope it's a lost pin in a linkage and not a governor spring

Oh dear, nothing worse than a borrowed something having a problem!

For a parts list go to the Kubota main web site after you have figured out which tractor you have

http://www.kubota.com/part/parts.aspx

and enter the model and number in the right place, click as instructed, and you can download a free pdf with parts numbers and diagrams. Should help.

sorry about not getting that right model number! i followed the hand throttle down to were looks to be a metal sleeve. it does not push the governor linkage. when i put a drill bit in there to take of the space. it worked the linkage. i'll get back over there and find the model #. thanks for posting the link sheepfarmer. this kubota sure beats the heck out of my 1948 ford 8n!
