I have an L2650 with the LA450 loader. Previously well used and abused by a tree service company.
I have the following issues:
-no down pressure (in the winter this becomes a front blade that will not angle right, only left)
-lots of slop in the control valve
-very sensitive/jerky controls

I'd rather not pay the $900+ from Kubota for a new loader control valve.
Has anyone had any luck with an aftermarket control valve?
It looks like Brand Hydraulics makes a decent one (PLV22TSTKAB) but it looks like it has one less fitting than mine...

That should work fine but you will need the optional power beyond sleeve.

Thanks!
Looks like the power beyond sleeve for this unit is MSLV2-W.

If you have worked with the Brand unit at all... do you know if I am going to need adapter fittings or if the fitting threads are the same?

I have one sitting here - the ports on it are SAE-8. Adapters needed are going to depend on the geometry of your old hoses and valve ports but I would be surprised if you did not need something. ORB adapters are cheap and readily available.

For the record, I did get the PLV22TSTKAB and the power beyond sleeve installed last night. The Kubota fittings did not need any adaptors, they properly threaded directly into the Brand valve. The only thing that took a minute to figure out was that the front/rear inlet and outlet were on opposite ends when comparing the two valves. Thanks for the help on this, and hopefully this information helps someone else going forward.

I was just like you... could not see spending a Grand on a Kubota OEM loader valve.

So.... I worked with a local hydraulic shop to switch mine out and did it for around $450 if my memory is correct. I used Beiler Hydraulic Repair , Sales and service out of Leola, PA located between. Never been happier.

I have a bunch of posts OTT that pretty much took me through the whole process.
