I live in MD and have been looking for a used LA344, but can't find any. All I find are ones included in a sale with the tractor and the sellers won't separate individually for sale. I guess that's pretty normal. Any advice where to find a used one? Any dealers that you would recommend reaching out to for great deal on a new one? I can always just have it shipped. The dealers around me all want full MSRP. Any pro tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I had a similar issue in NZ, I bought an older BX2350 without a loader, and wanted a loader. I ended up buying new. It worked out OK for me, but in reality you're often better to sell the machine you have and buy a machine with a loader. Getting a used loader is hard, and if you buy a new loader, when you come to sell people don't go "oh, that's a 2023 tractor with a 2026 loader on it", it's a 2023 tractor with loader. Loaders are also much cheaper bundled with the machine, so on the used market, a machine with a loader is cheaper than a machine without a loader + a new loader.

Used loaders are VERY rare, especially ones that aren't trashed/bent/burnt up in a fire and come with the correct mounting hardware as you are finding out. New or aftermarket is probably the best option.

If you’re open to aftermarket, maybe check out what Quicke or Westendorf have to offer in comparison to new OEM.

If you do find the unicorn OEM used loader, make sure it comes with the subframe and all mounting hardware. Particularly in cases where the loader is no longer on the tractor being parted out, it’s not unusual for the subframe or some of the necessary mounting hardware to have gotten separated from the loader.

The pro tip I have come to believe in, in situations like yours, after seeing it posted many times, is:

Buy a used tractor with a loader, and sell your existing tractor...
