The bucket droops when a load is picked up on my BX24. Also one of the boom cylinders on the LA240 is leaking, both are very recent events. If I repair the boom cylinder leak are there any expectations for the bucket drooping to go away?

Very limited knowledge of hydraulic systems here.

BX24 purchased in 2006, unknown hours due to failed panel meter (any ideas here?)

Thanks for the help.

Is it leaking all the time or only when loaded ? If so then I would think it's possible for leaking cylinder to placing extra pressure on opposite cylinder and cause it not to hold position. Until repaired make sure you ck hydraulic fluid regularly

Two unrelated problems. Fixing one (or not) will not affect the other. "The bucket droops when a load is picked up" could be one of the bucket cylinder piston seals is leaking by internally. Could also be in the loader control valve spool for that circuit. The boom cylinder leak is just a leak. Probably the shaft seal.

The bucket cylinder is leaking internally. It will stop drooping when the seals are replaced. Messicks wants $200 for seals!!! At that price I would be looking for a new aftermarket cylinder.
