Have an LA 1065 loader on an MX 5800. The left control valve is leaking fluid out of the top where the control lever pushes the spool(?) in and out. has anyone had this problem and what was done to remedy. Thanks for any info I can get. Dealer says a new control valve assembly is $1100 bucks. Ouch!

ROPS model? There are housing seals around the spool. If its leaking there a new $11 seal may be all you need.

Thanks for the response. That's what I was thinking so had dealer order what rubber parts were on the diagram. It shows and calls out a complete assembly but in the next breath it says "NOT AVAILABLE". Any idea how to get the spool out? The dealer doesn't know. They say this never happens or if it does they replace the whole valve assembly

Not sure what you mean by ROPS model. It has the standard ROPS that comes on an MX5800

According to the Kubota parts manuals that loader was came in a ROPS or cab version and they used different valves. The ROPS loader valve is an ordinary monoblock.

Spools are removed by disassembling the rear cover and return hardware then withdrawing the spool from the front. You may be able to replace tje front seal without removing the spool. Pop it out and take it to a repair shop - good chance they can match it up.

Dealerships dont want to rebuild loader valves. No real expertise, no profit, and if the valve is actually worn it cannot be repaired.
