The 3pt on my L5450 lifts immediately upon start up and will not lower. The lever has some play but does not appear to move the small arm where the lever link attaches. The loader continues to operate as it should. I am not sure on the technical terms, the blue arrow in the photo point to the lever that seems to be stuck.

There is currently a 6ft tiller attached to the 3pt. Any ideas where to start?

No idea what your description on the lever and small arm is talking about but there should be a feedback rod between the upper small arm and a tab on the tractor. Usually on the left hand (sitting on tractor) side underneath the seat area. They sometimes get loose and the system has no idea where the lift arm is.

If you’re sure the small arm should move then try moving it carefully.

Unless I am mistaken, the feedback rod appears to be on the left when viewing the tractor from the rear and appears to be tight. There is a "lever" on the right side that is not connected to anything.

Feedback rod in first photo? and mystery lever in second.

Yes the first is the feedback rod (pretty sure anyway) and I edited my post to say the correct LEFT side (don’t know what I was thinking when I typed right side).

The second picture tab should be connected to something and the end flopping loose looks like it was connected to something recently since the paint is gone and there is no rust on it.

You don’t say where in the world you are but Kubota has an illustrated parts list available in the USA and most likely every other country can access a similar site. I would look there under your tractor model to see what that area of the tractor looks like with linkage to that tab.

If the disk is hanging up in the air you can gently move that tab and see what happens but be careful the disk does not slam down.

Does your tractor have something called draft control?

Yes, the draft control is right next to the lift/lower lever that is not working. You can see the rod coming down from the draft control in the original post photo, just above and to the left of the blue arrow.

I am totally guessing now since I have never seen a tractor with draft control but I would think that the draft control system is the problem and it thinks the implement is too low and continues to lift the implement until it reaches the top of its range.

I would suggest you push the draft control down and see if you see anything that might connect to that tab in your last picture.

Other than that I am out of ideas except for the illustrated parts list being helpful.

Hello,

I'm no expert by any means, but I also have a L5450 so I went out to take pictures of the same linkage :

From the part manual (hydraulic system/top link), you seems to miss the link rod to the top link bracket (parts 20 to 60).

Hope this helps!
