I have a L5030 HST open station with LA853 loader and L2213 valve controller with just under 1000 hours.
I have 2 issues with my loader that I am trying to find out if they are normal or not. First issue is that when I push the controller to the right to dump the bucket, just before the bucket hits the travel limits the cylinder flops fully extended without control. If I walk to the bucket I can swing it freely forward and back and watch the bucket cylinders move in and out because the cylinders are obviously not completely full of hydraulic fluid on both sides. If I continue to dump after the bucket hits the limit after a moment I can see the hoses flex and it is obvious that the cylinder has filled with fluid. I can dump with full right joystick and the cylinder seems to probably stay full of fluid. It seems very strange to me that the cylinders can appear to get air in them each time I dump like that.
My second issue is that both the boom and curl cylinders creep down and do not hold in the air. If I put the bucket in the air and then disconnect all 4 quick connects the boom and curl stay indefinitely. I have pulled the spools out to inspect for wear and they looked virtually brand new. I don't have any external leaks on the cylinders or the valves. I have also inspected the check valves and found a tiny piece of debris that I removed but that didn't change the condition.
Can a Kubota normally hold the boom and bucket in the air without creeping down?
Hopefully I made my questions clear enough,
Thank you,
Nathan
