Is the seat damaged to the point that a cover is needed, or is your intent just to protect the seat?

In my experience once the seat has cracks or foam missing it's better to just get a new one.

If it's cracks, I find I can get a few more years with good quality black duct tape.

If it's that it burns your behind when you leave it in the sun, tipping the seat up over the steering wheel when you're not sitting on it helps with that.

Otherwise, if you just want a different feel under your behind from plastic, you probably need to tell us what sort of material you like.
