L4610 HST Position Control Lever sticky

The position control lever for 3 point hitch is real sticky on my (New) 2001 L4610hst. Tractor has been sitting in the open all its life and most of the rubber parts are bad.
Lever is real jerky as you move it making fine adjustment impossible.

Even though my tractors are kept in the dry I still lube linkage and control levers. I have been using a penetrating grease. It goes in like a penetrating oil does then turns to grease. Zepp 2000 is a very good one.

A word of warning though, be carefull what you lube. I sprayed my throttle linkage and it made it so slick that I had to keep my foot pedal held down to maintain steady rpm's. No more spring tention than the throttle has it wouldn't hold where I set it.
