I am in the process of splitting my tractor and have run into a problem with the 4WD propeller shaft cover. The service manual said to remove 2 screws and slide shaft cover, I cannot get the cover to move after removing the 2 screws,,,,,,,,,,HELP!!!!

You can still roll the tractor apart with shaft on. It will slide off the either from the front or back splines. Once off you can get better access to the tube to make it telescope so when you re-install it you drive the roll pins out of the couplers.

Thanks Pat, makes sense to me, I guess I'll go ahead and get o=rings & seals for shaft too. 1st time in 21 years tractors given me a problem and it's been worked hard.
