If you post some pictures of the steering box, might be able to point you in some direction. ;)

You really need to pull the whole steering box out, your leak is going to be in the middle of the box not up at the top. ;)

ok. Steering wheel is off. This is as far as I got. any suggestions what next?
With the steering wheel off, can you shoot us a pic of the top of the steering column looking down at it. Trying to figure out if that is a lip seal in the top of the column.

I'm also wondering if you have a bearing out, causing access movement in the column causing a lip seal to go bad,

So, looking at the top of the column with the wheel off, it looks like a teflon sleeve down the tube. My question is - at the base of the column is three bolts, above those is a locking nut which I can loosen. (See pic #2 above) When loose, should the column above unscrew or will i need to take the three bolts off and take the base off to remove the column, giving me access to the steering shaft and hopefully a bad seal? I hope this makes sense. Also, where can I get a steering box replacement if i have to go that route. Sorry for the barrage of questions. Thanks for the help.
