My L3410, 4wd tractor will not start. In recent months, I have replaced the battery, the ignition switch, all new battery cables. I get lights on the dashboard. And the fuel solenoid rocker works when I turn the key. But other than that...it is dead. No click. No turn over. Nothing. I was on it all morning this morning. Parked it. Went back out later in the day....dead. This has happened before. Thus the reason for replacing the ignition switch. I am wondering if there is an issue with the neutral safety "switch" somewhere. Both GST lever on the left side of the steering column, and the transmission gear/speed selector lever at the left side of the seat are in neutral. I have jee-hawed with them to see if there would be any "catch." Still nothing. I am open to any and all ideas.

Some safety switch is not letting it crank. The dash lights show that the battery is providing power to the tractor. I assume that they don’t go out and that if the headlights are on they don’t go out or dim at all. That shows that no power is being sent to the starter.

But you can test the starter itself and see if it will crank the engine. Since you are bypassing all safety switches it is not the safest thing to do so have someone near by out of harm’s way to call 911 if things go bad! To test the starter you can remove the small wire from the spade connector (the wire is probably black with a white stripe). Then see if that wire end gets 12 volts of power when the key is turned to the start position (I think that you won’t get any voltage there). Then you are going to connect 12 volts to that spade terminal directly. You can use a wire from the battery positive terminal or short the positive cable at the starter to the spade connector. The starter should crank the engine. (Engine could start if the key is in run position so you should have it in the OFF position.). If the starter spins the engine release the short to the spade terminal. That signifies the starter is working properly and just not getting 12 volts to the spade terminal. That is due to one of the safety switches. Return the wire to the spade terminal and make sure you have a good clean connection.

You can try to “jee-haw” the safety switches by holding the key switch in the start position and moving the pedal/seat/lever that has a safety switch associated with the pedal/seat/lever. If the engine starts to crank that is the safety switch to home into and repair or replace.

(and I always thought that it was Gee or Haw to tell the animal to turn?)

Follow the WSM, it's a pretty easy thing to chase on that model.
WSM's here:
If the main starter switch is putting out the start signal, then it would go to the hot side of the start relay coil.
The ground side of the start relay coil goes to the shuttle switch and then the PTO switch then to ground.
There is probably a fuse on the start relay feed line.
