L3400 - Aftermarket oil pressure & coolant temp. Gauges

Searched the threads but did not find info. I was looking for.
Has anyone installed aftermarket oil pressure and/or coolant temperature gauges in an L3400?
1. Mechanical or electrical - is one better than the other?
2. Specific, quality brands of gauges?
3. What fittings/adapters are needed for both installations?
4. Can the factory gauges be kept with appropriate fittings?

Biggest issue I have found is waterproofing with gauges. Most gauge topics can be searched on vehicle forums. I would like to add one to my MX5100 but haven’t found a good place to keep it dry.
I did install a Glowshift brand digital 2 in 1 temperature and pressure gauge on my Zero turn beginning of this year. Held up so far but it hasn’t been wet or rained on.
