L3301 Jinma Chipper

Is is ok, to operate the chipper with its weight supported only by the 3pt. hitch, or should the chipper be supported on a block or stand.

Doesn't the chipper have square bottom that it sits on? I don't think I would run it with only the 3pt holding it up. Do you have a picture of the chipper that you are wanting to use?

Yes set it on the ground to run it.

Here are a few pictures, I try to support the chipper with the trailer tongue jacks I installed on the chipper base. I try to keep the PTO shaft as straight and level as possible. Now, I am aware that the PTO sheild is in poor condition and a new shaft and shield is in the ready room as soon as I get it cut to the proper length. Opinions please.

It gobbles up the wood, and never slows the L3301 down, the lesser HP John Deere M, at times had to be given a chance to regain it's RPMs.
