Is is ok, to operate the chipper with its weight supported only by the 3pt. hitch, or should the chipper be supported on a block or stand.:confused:

Doesn't the chipper have square bottom that it sits on? I don't think I would run it with only the 3pt holding it up. Do you have a picture of the chipper that you are wanting to use?

Here are a few pictures, I try to support the chipper with the trailer tongue jacks I installed on the chipper base. I try to keep the PTO shaft as straight and level as possible. Now, I am aware that the PTO sheild is in poor condition and a new shaft and shield is in the ready room as soon as I get it cut to the proper length. Opinions please.:cool:
