L3240 engine problems

installed reman injection pump 5 years ago and has worked well until now. Was bush hogging and all the sudden the rpm started to slowly drop then surging till it finally died. Checked fuel filter. All said and done, pulled fuel tank and cleaned, replaced transfer pump, new filter housing and filter, all new fuel lines. Still no change. Had injecters rebuilt. Seem to run fine at first then same thing. Not smoking but rpm’s steadily dropping under slight load. About ready to go ahead and change injection pump again. Just hoping for a little input before I spend another 500.00 dollars.

How many hours where on it when you changed the original injection pump?
Do you still have the original pump?
And did you just get a cheap chinese pump off eBay or such?

Any overheating issues? Have you checked the coolant level recently?
