L3130 Shut down

Starts up just fine. As soon as I engage PTO or let off clutch to go forward or reverse the engine shuts down. Any suggestions?

More info would help, is it out of fuel?

What were you doing? Any trouble lights? Any weird noises? Does it have oil?

Check safety switch under seat. It may not know anyone is sitting in the seat so won’t operate

Assuming your tractor is fairly new and has safety switches

Yep seat switch (most likely), fuse for OPC, bad OPC, bad connection or wiring.
