L3130 Reverse

My L3130 goes forward with the Peddle no problem, but in reverse I have press down really hard. Any suggestions

First of all did this start suddenly?
Check the linkage to make sure nothing is jamming it.
Lubricate it. If all that fails then it is likely an internal problem.

If when you do get it to go in reverse it's real slow, then it's probably out of adjustment.
