I was using the tractor to back blade and level my yard when out of the blue the rototiller on the back just dropped to the ground. I tried the flow control knob, I looked at the fluid level, l looked for leaks. All looked good. The loader works. So I thought maybe a plugged filter. Went to the dealership and told them what had happened and they need to look at it. No advice. Asked about changing the filter and was advised, not a likely remedy. So once I got home I thought I’ll just turn the PTO on and till my way to a place to remove the tiller and I can get back to leveling my yard. Tractor was in low range 3rd gear. Shifted to 2nd and started to move when a terrible grinding came from the rear. Checked to see if I was partially engaged tried again, same issue. Moved to high range 1st gear was able to move but it does not sound good. Called the dealer, they’re sending a ramp truck to retrieve it. What would kill the 3point hydraulics and cause a grinding sound in the rear axel?
