Ran fine tilling, shut it off for supper, dead as a doornail an hour later.
Acts like battery is dead, but jumping, charging and replacing the battery havr not helped. Any ideas? Sudden voltage regulator death?

What year is your 2850? It could be just a "safety" switch, like the one at the clutch. Newer models have switches at the seat, and at gear selector level. My dad has a 2 YO B7800, and that thing has way too many OSHA switches! All you have to do is have one little lever out of alignment, and she wont start. Practically have to give up your first born to certify you are ready to start the thing! My older little B8200 will start if you turn the key! Could be the starter switch as well. Grab your multimeter or even a simple test light and follow the wires!
