Howdy,
Has anyone ran I high flow radiator fan on an 1970s-1980s L285 size tractor? Would you do it again? Mine when I really loading it down (discing in 1 high gear) is getting warm, not hot just letting me know it is very warm. I tried reinstalling a thermostat in it and it over heated when I did that so the thermostat got removed again and lesson learned (the hard way). Thank you

Is the L285 thermosyphon or does it have a water pump. If thermosyphon it will not use any thermostat.

If you have not cleaned the screen in front of the radiator and the exterior of the radiator that is where you should start. Clean radiator from the fan side not the front. It is easier to remove it from the tractor but then you have to drain the fluid.
