Quick question- If your butt is not firmly in the seat and you try to move the HST treadle it should quit?

Really depends on how the safety switch is "adjusted". We get more complains that lighter bodies that move a little in the seat will kill the engine.

I would move my tractor, standing besides it, I only need a little pressure on the seat to push the HST peddle to move the tractor. I no longer do this since I just looped the cable going to the safety switch over the lever of the OPC (Operator Presence Control). Basically, holding the switch closed all the time...

Bottom line, it doesn't take much pressure in the seat to move the tractor... Also, the safety switch might not be adjusted correctly which will allow travel with no one in the seat.
