replaced suction hose 50 hours ago, and changed hydraulic fluid/filter. has been working fine until today. tractor has 680 hours on it.

today, after it's been sitting for 2 months, no power steering, no bucket lift or curl.
i checked fluid level, it's above the sight glass, and removed and checked suction hose.

it makes a cavitation/metallic sound when attempting to lift, but no lifting. no sound when attempting to turn wheel..

any ideas on what to check next?

Sounds like a loss of hydraulic supply from the pump. I would start by disconnecting hose from P port on loader valve. Stick it in a bucket and start the tractor. You should get a steady flow of oil out of that hose. Dont let the tractor run long or it will pump the tractor out of oil. If no oil flow the pump is not working. Possibly loss of supply to the pump.

There is no suction screen on that model.
What lead you to change the suction line originally?
And when you pulled the suction line off was there fluid pouring out?
Or is that suction line above the transmission level?
What is the filter number that you used?
Look at all these connections for wetness as a suction leak can cause this.
Other option is something with the pump drive has failed.
