L2600

I recently purchased a 1973 L2600 and subsequently determined there is a leak where the control lever unit bolts to the hydraulic pump. It appears to be a gasket. The repair manual doesn't have a lot of detail. Anyone with any experience with what I'm going to get into?

Maybe you need an update repair maunal. The L2600 was built from 2000-2003 and not in 1973.

There is however an L260 that was built from 70-76.
