I have a l260 with the common steering problems.According to the video, the steering shaft and gear come in one package. My local dealer says this is not true besides nothing is available anyway. If someone has part #'s or a supplier it would be very helpful.thanks

I just did the steering shaft and ball nut on my B6200. It was no longer available from Kubota either. I bought a Sparex after market shaft and ball nut from samstractors.com. I did not see the L260 listed on his parts list. If the ball nut is the same, then measure the length of the shaft and get one close to it. My steering shaft is about 3/4" longer than the original which puts the steering wheel 3/4" higher than original, which isn't noticeable. The key is if your ball nut is the same as other L's and B's. Also, look up Kubota steering shaft on eBay. There are several after market shafts listed there in 18-5/8" length and 23-3/4" length. Here is a picture of my ball nut.

Good Luck,
John

Western Kentucky Tractor parts has complete rebuilt units for the L260. They are high $$ however maybe they can identify parts that are available. Pretty nice folks to deal with, IMO.

Ya, not that easy on the L-210 and L-260's as they are early 70's tractors with steering boxes that are not shared with other more popular L-Series Kubota tractors.
Vic, thanks for the insight and correction. Fucustoms is going to have more of a challenge than I thought.
