I'm new to Kubota tractors and just got an L2550.
First time out, got it stuck in a creek bed at a steep angle. The hydraulics quit, loader and 3 pt. It was working well then in the creek the lever seemed to catch then nothing.

I've ordered a service manual but won't be here for a week.

I can't find where to check the hydraulic fluid level. Relief valve location? How many filters?

This tractor has 670 hrs and few leaks but some aroun the loader control valves.
Any advise is greatly appreciated!

If you are young and flexible enough, start looking at the underside of the tractor. If you don't see anything obviously damaged or disconnected, take some pictures of the underside. The getting stuck in a creek at a steep angle, knocked something adrift.

Someone more knowledgeable with your model of tractor, might see something in the photos you did not notice.

I think you are getting distracted by thinking of relief valve, filters, for the 3pt and FEL to stop working at around the same time is not a coincidence.

Which lever "started to catch"?

How did the tractor get unstuck and where is it now?

If you can also post some pictures of where you were stuck and look for any rocks with orange paint on them or fresh scrapes. Also some general pictures of your tractor.

In case you don't know how to post pictures, ask.

Was it under water?
If it was for any length of time you might need to drain the front axle and the transmission / rearend / sump.

If it was real steep, yea you could have sucked air into the system, once level everything should return to normal.

Left side by your foot will be a Gauge (sight glass), clean fluid is hard to see,
fill plug is center in front of seat.

Should only be one filter.
Relief valve is located in the block on the frame where the loader connects.

Thanks for the info. I found one of the hose quick disconnects under the engine out of the fitting.

Pluged in, everything back to normal.

Lesson learned, pull on everything and see what wiggles.

That is great news. It is heartwarming when you fear an expensive repair and it is a disconnected coupling. Most of those more modern quick couplings are designed to come apart with a yank so the hydraulic hose, which is caught on something, does not rip expensive stuff right off the tractor.

Coming back and telling everyone what solved your problem is a real courtesy which benefits everyone in the future. Many tractor owners come here, are told what the solution to their problem probably is and never report back. Then at some time in the future they are back with more needs. Before deciding if I will help someone, I often look back through their previous posts first.

This is a good resource to get directions. I've had several old tractors, Fords and a Farmall. This is my first Kubota and tech info seems more difficult to find on this one.
This event was in an almost dry creekbed with about 10 feet of steep bank on both sides. There never was anything submerged but my feet.
After my neighbor pulled me out by the loader bucket, everything was pretty clean. I didn't see any leaks. Crawling underneath, I saw a little limestone ground into the low point, the block under the engine where the disconnects go to the loader.
It still looked like it was all connected OK. The hose I found loose was even on a protected side. It did wiggle more than the other hoses.

Lots of appreciation here, I can't wait for that 640+ page manual to arrive. If anybody else is looking for one, OEM Kubota service manual used, Ebay $135 including shipping.

Thanks again. This forum was a big help.
