Hello first post here .
I recently purchased a L245DT with 1550 hrs,ran good and sounded good when I purchased.
Sat for a month and when I started it low oil psi light stays on.
Removed sender and installed gauge, approx 7 psi. I did some research and read about cam plugs falling out, seems like my problem but when I went to order parts they told me my unit has screw in plugs not press in.
My question is, do the screw in plugs fail also. Thanks Ralph

Hello Ralph.
The screw plugs don't fall out. Is the seven psi at idle. The other thing to check is the relief valve located in the oil filter housing. You can screw it out . Sometime you will find trash in that.
Good luck Lance

Yes 7 at idle , maybe 12 at 1500. I was thinking about the relief.
I am a heavy duty tech by trade , and in the 30 years that I have been working on Diesel engines I never seen a screw in plug fall out. That's why I was checking. I am going to pull the check valve out and see , thanks Lance

Well unfortunately it's not the relief or bypass valve in the filter housing, so the front cover will be coming off to have a look see.

[FONT=&quot]Parts list shows both, screws for >=1001, so there's always a possibility that your machine somehow scored a plug

At least it will be nice to find it missing a plug (if that's the case), and not a worn out bearing...........
