Sorry in advance for the long post...I have a L245 and a L245DT about the same year. The L245DT appears to be in rougher shape and more worn out, has kubota loader, but purchased non-running (hole in side of engine). I have owned the L245 for several years and it is in very good shape. I wonder if they are close enough I can pull all the front wheel assist components off the DT and put them on the L245. Were they built like some cars where the base model is the same and the add on stuff was just added on. I am pretty sure the loader will fit, but was wondering about the front wheel assist stuff? Like is the tranmission the same except for the bolt on transfer case, etc? Same with the front axle, etc. Anyone done anything like this before? Original thought was to just swap the engine out of the L245, but the more I thought about it the L245 is in much better overall shape. Thoughts?
