I have a L2250 with what I believe is a newer battery and it does not seem to be charging. The battery light on the instrument panel is always on. Looking for some advice where to start. Alternator? Voltage Regulator? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I have a L2550 that I inherited from my father, and I was just about to post a question about mine when I saw your post. The charging light has been on for years because the original battery was not replaced with a kubota battery which I think had an extra wire connection or something that is related to the charging light staying on when using a generic battery. I was going to ask someone if there is a way to hook that wire up somehow so the light will go out. The main thing I can tell you is I don't think you have anything to worry about because the light on mine has always been on for the last 15 years. Hope this gives you a little help.

There probably is a wire 'dangling' (not connected to anything) near the voltage regulator. Connect a wire to 12 volts through a lo amp fuse and connect that to the dangling wire. The light should go out. Mine did.
