L2202DT front transmition doesn't work !?

Hi !

I've got a big problem.

I just realised that my 4WD/2WD lever doesn't engage the front axle !!!

I don't know how to repair that ?

I think I'll unmount transmission box under the tractor to access to the transmission shaft & look if there's no problems....
I'll use the "Parts Manual" to do it !

What do you think about that?

Are you sure there is a drive shaft connected between the transmission and the front axle? Sometimes those will be removed or disconnected for one reason or another.

Yes, I finally unmount the transmition box under the tractor & the drive shaft.

I found different problems :

- the spring pin on the coupling ring (side of transfer pinion) was absent

- the coupling ring was was fully fitted on the transfer pinion

- the external tube of the shaft was curved

- there was severe scratches on the shaft

So I think the transfer pinion & the drive shaft was disconnected 'cause of the absent spring pin !

I have to raise the rear wheels to verify that the transfer pinion rotates freely...
