I went out to start my Kubota and when I turned the glow plug switch it keeps
turning instead of engaging the glow plugs. is there a nut that I need to tighten
or something else that holds it. Thanks

Dave

It has been a while since I replaced my starter switch but here’s what I recall
The knob has a screw in the side that clamps the knob to the shaft of the switch.
The switch installs from the rear of the dash, has some method to keep it from turning (a notch?) and a nut clamps it to the sheet metal. The nut is hidden by the knob I think. So remove the knob to see what is going on.

I assume the knob is a dark color and has two protruding sections that are used to turn the knob.

Thanks for the info yes the knob has two sections that protrude out to turn it by. I do recall the
set screw in the side of the knob I will remove that and see what I can figure out. Thanks

Russell,

I pulled the knob off and found a threaded collar fitting that tightens
against the dash metal just like you described. So a few turns with some
pliers and it was good as new. Thanks for the reply

Good to hear that you got it fixed!
I have the same tractor and lost the entire knob cutting grass so never to be found.
The next one I used some Bees Wax on the thread of the set screw and periodically check the set screw.
One dealer would not sell me just the knob wanted me to buy entire unit.
Another did.
Reminded me to check that screw again Thanks
