What's the easy way to take put old oil sending unit. Seems 26 mm socket fits. But the starter unit is bit to much in the way..

Not even 100% sure could remove it after 40 yrs.

Held my breath and used the deep 26 mm was worried the angle might break it but luckily it didn't have to get a lot of force and I got it loose put the new one in The irony is the new unit took a 24 mm LoL.

At first I thought it was the wiring so I clipped out the bad and put in some new mode so I'm yesterday before a downpour and after the motor had been running a while mowing the light come on so that I knew I had to take out the sending unit.

Did a test run mowing little while ago light never come on.. sure glad to that I'll feel better after I do some more mowing.

I'll be SOL if it's requires more than that it's a gray market L1501. I sure don't have the capacity to do rebuilds. Besides the expense expense In this current economy doing that. Might as will get another decent used compact.

Got one nice Day of some mowing.

After more rains. Got ready to do some more mowing Now that charming oil idiot light won't go out.

I ordered a oil pressure tester.
But I had my suspects of it.
Seems like a China rip-off. Got a oil into the hose so it was seeping out so it was getting pressure to do that but would not even.

The motor absolutely sounds and runs perfect.. Even lifting the oil cap I can see Pistons moving just fine and they seem fairly oily to me.

So the next step is maybe to put on a dash gauge
