Any tool that needs less than full engine HP to do the job can benefit from the high speed pto.
I think it's called "eco" range on pc correct new tractors.
I use the high speed pto all the time with the snow blower on front of the B7200.
I use the high speed pto all the time with the rear mounted chipper shredder on the 35 hp tractor. (reduced engine speed)
It was originally designed for the tiller that often came with the tractor in the Japanese variant. It's of fairly limited use on North American equipment. One of our members has a backhoe with a PTO driven pump. One of our members has a John Deere tiller for 400/420/430 that needs 840 PTO where 3rd should be close enough.
These tractors are of a size where shifting up throttling back often leaves them short of torque on most PTO implements.
On my tractor . The tach only gives a 540 pto speed. Was just curious. I’m new to the small tractor life. I’ve spent years on 100+ h/p tractors and earthmoving equipment. This 17 hp tractor is teaching Patients.
