My 175L is leaking gear oil around the pto engage lever and gear shifter. I looked in the shop manual and it show two seals #14. I'm thinking I will need to replace these two seal but would like some input first before I begin.

Re: 175L leaking oil

Make sure the vent in the cap is not plugged. It will cause that leaking. Make sure proper transmission fluid level by removing the fill level plug on left side of trans housing next to clutch pedal. If all that checks out replace the seals.

Here’s a link to the vent and someone that had a similar problem. I had the same issue until I was told about the vent on the cap. Probably never would have figured it out without the folks on this forum since I had just replaced boots and knew they were good

That makes a lot of since if that vent is clogged then it's over pressurizing. Thank you for that suggestion.

Re: 175L leaking oil

XMikew, I checked the cap today and it was clogged. Going to top it off tomorrow and see if that was the problem. Thank you for the help.
