A while back I posted a question about what folks did when their seats wore out on these little tractors. Seems everyone was replacing them with the same style. This is what I came up with. This is the little tractor I cut the grass with has been giving me grief, the seat had rotted out & was killing my back. So today I started to change that.
Here is a Japanese torture device that they sent over here as revenge for dropping those nukes on them during WW2!
New soft & comfy super seat installed!
I cut the hinges off & welded them to a plate & then bolted that to the new seat bottom. Then I cut the rear support down, welded a cross piece of angle to it, added some D8 Cat valve springs & POOF! Instant suspension seat! I need to paint it but I couldn't lay my hands on any red primer around here! Hope this may help some one that needs seat ideas!
