I have a L1500 that started whining when in first gear or with the PTO engaged (in any gear). I have separated the tractor and in the process of removing the gears to see what all is damaged. At this time I can see damage to the last gear on the main shaft and slight wear on the top two large gears along with the reverse gear. Does anyone know what gear/shaft runs what drive gears? last question and sorry for rambling, do you just pull off the rubber covers on the ends of the shafts and replace with new or is there a way to pull them and not damage them?
