Hi all wondering if anyone has a tip or troubleshooting steps. Just picked up a used kx057 was working fine for several hours and then the boom cylinder would extend lowering the boom but pulling back on the stick doesn’t raise the boom. All other hydraulics appear fine. No visible leaks issues etc.

any thoughts on next options

If there anre any couplers involved with the hoses try to disconnect them and reconnect them. And if the hoses can reach you could try to swap sets around to see if the problem moves with the hoses.

You can also disconnect those hoses and see if fluid is coming out of the hoses (put hoses into a bucket or make a mess). Then if so, connect the hose to raiseing side and see if it will move the cylinder (Oil should come out of the opening on the other end of the cylinder and make a mess).

What you want to know is that there is flow to the cylinder port that operates that the cylinder. If there is flow then you may need to worry with pressure but since everything else is operational then I doubt that will be a concern.

Switch to the other pattern and see if it changes anything.
