Ok so I’m an idiot and made a rather dumb mistake just looking to verify what caused the problem . This tractor had a valve drop on piston I split the tractor had it apart mostly rebuilt the engine got it fired up. Here inlies the problem I never plugged the hydraulic hoses together when I removed the backhoe and didn’t think of it I got the tractor fired up and was just checking out the loader easing and lowering but it wouldn’t roll back so I was thinking maybe something thing was in a hose. Looked at that, put it back together and herd a big pop and hydraulic fluid came out of the Loader control valve it actually blew part of the valve off which I assume is because the lines were not connected and pressure built up. Is this in fact what happened? That being said I feel super dumb but also looking for thoughts of replacement I assume it couldn’t not be welded. Would an after market make sense I’ve looked for used ones but no luck and they piece is crazy expensive,it’s the one section the rest looks good. Thanks any advice.

That looks to be Cast Iron, so 'welding' it back together (and it staying that way) is likely not an option for you. Used part replacement would be my route.

Thanks for the response yea I was thinking that was not a viable option as far as welding, seems to be no used available hoping someone may had info a good aftermarket or like universal controller.

I found someone that has one for 750 about 3 and 1/2 hours away maybe that’s the best option. Just trying to clarify to that not plugging those hoses in was the reason this happened. Thanks everyone

Look at #50 and #180. They seem to be the individual sections wi new internal parts. Perhaps in the list of part numbers in those brackets is the section. I think I would buy the complete assembly (#50 or #180).

I also found these husco valve body on market place. Seems to be upside down wonder if this would work as a replacement. The 5005a ah-7 numbers match, the other number looks to be 5089 and the one on mine looks like 4208.
Yes - you blew it up with excessive pressure. Wonder why the relief valve did not save you???

Just based on the end covers those market place sections are not a match. Your best option is to replace the entire stack with a new one and thats going to be close to 4 figures.. Do you know the flow rating for the tractor's hydraulic system?

I believe the valve sections are made by Husco, at least the ones on the backhoe are. Replacement should be out there to keep the factory control operating like oem which would be preferred. Look at the specs in the husco catalog for a part number and start searching from there.

Hard as hell to find and expensive if you do. Couple questions
  1. i assume the boom has fourth position float. is it a series or parallel section
  2. Does the bucket section have a regen feature?

It’s 17.3 gpm. I don’t know I guess that relief valve is not functioning which is not surprising either I’ll have to look at the drawings and see where that is located. I found a guy that has one about 3-1/2 hours for 750 away probably should just make the trip and get it’s I was just wondering if an aftermarket like the one I showed made more sense or not.

I was able to buy a new production husco section last year I added a spool to my hoe for a thumb.

This is the company I mail ordered from

You added a "vanilla" section. My guess is neither of the OEM sections are conventiinal. Here us the Husco catalog showing options and casting numbers.

1.- yes it has a fourth position float I’m not sure about the series or parallel section or if the bucket has a regen feature.

The aftermarket valve does not have float

If your tank return line was also disconnected the HUSCO relief valve was ptobably deadheaded and unable to unload the pump. Hopefully the vslve exploding saved the pump.

Is the used HUSCO a whole valve for $750 or just one section?
