Kubota L3010 and JD 790 comparison

My Long 610 tractor is dying so I am looking for a smaller 4x4 tractor with loader. There are 2 in my area that I will look into. They are about the same age, 10-12 years with 800-1000 hours. The asking prices are $12K and $10.5K for the L3010 and JD 790, respectively. I use the tractor mainly for bush-hogging an area of about 1 acre a couple times a year and snow removal. (I have a Toro Zero turn to mow my other 9 acres.) I also plan to use the new tractor to start a new garden. BTW, the JD had gear transmission, the Kubota has glide shift.
My questions are:
1) What are good prices that you would offer for these tractors?
2) Which tractor would you recommend and why?

Second one to ask this sort of question, It's tough to get an objective view on it, on a site that loves orange tractors, but I'll try!

I would go with the L3010, one reason I love the glide shift, a glide shift is a hydraulically shifted Geared transmission, It's tough as nails, and with a wet clutch your overall maintenance cost over the years are going to be less.

The L3010 is a newer tractor and that price sounds about right, used price is more dictated by condition and area of sale more than anything else, up here that tractor could sell for 15k.

The Kubota is about 700 lbs more tractor - you will appreciate that if you do any loader work - and more than double the lift capacity with the 3ph and half again the lift with the loader. It also has a couple more horses to play with. Price seems fair, but no harm in offering $11-11.5K
