Hi everyone im lookin at a kubota L260 2wd tractor its beat up and rough shape. Im wanting to mount a small forklift mast that i have on the rear of the tractor and have a subframe run the whole length of tractor with weight on front. Then reverse seat and all controls to face rear. Im wantin to use this in my repair shop instead of the m7040 and loader.

I dont know much bout this model but it looks like it would work but it would be nice if i could flip the ring gear so i wud have more reverse gears. Is this possible on this model?

That sounds like quite the task there boss, seems to me you'd be better off buying a used forklift rather then turn a Kubota around and add a mast.

Bigger forklift wont fit in my lil shop. But a bigger one wouldbe ok in my bigger shops. As far as mounting mast and building subframe that would be childs play no big deal. Reversing controls also wouldnt be big deal it would be same as Holt,Harlo,Liftmaster or any other company that made conversions for tractors. I already have a small mast which is bout 6foot tall and is a two stage with 2500lb capacity. I would be doin this kinda for a fun project to have around my Ag repair and welding business. The steering would be converted to hydraulic using parts i already have. Then for gears if i cant flip ring gear like you could on some older farmalls, etc. Then i can jus use the reverse gears thats in which will be plenty fast enough around shop.
