If I'm understanding the situation, this points to good compression.

The injectors are checked by pulling them and observing the cone of mist. It should be symmetrical, not spraying left or right, it should be a mist, not droplets/chunky. Point each one at a sheet of paper and look for nice round, evenly wet spot.

If that cylinders are indeed that worn, going back to stock 76mm pistons would not be ideal. Go to 10 or 20 over with a re-bore and appropriate rings. Do you have a good inside micrometer to measure the bores?

You mention the glow-plugs were wet with fuel; yes they would be after a "no-start" situation. They would also be wet if the GP controller was bad, which would also give you a hard starting situation.

Just a few more things for you to look at.

I suggest that you take your injectors to a qualified fuel injector repair shop if you really want to check them. Unless you have a bunch of special tools and fixtures, this is not something that you should tackle.

When you were trying to start it did you use the glow plugs?
The older tractors are hard to start even in warm weather. I had to use glow plugs on my old B 7100 even during the summer. Kubota has come a long way with the newer tractors but it's just the nature of the beast with the old iron.

Vic has parts for your tractor. LAST RESORT check with your local Kubota dealer! I bet he has the parts too! ( or at least can get them)
I'd be checking that those glow plugs are working though before I went any further. New ones work just like old ones if they have no current going to them!
