Kubota L1500 DT Oil Leak

I have a gray market Kubota that I inherited...L 1500 DT. It has sprung an oil leak. I removed the alternator and found that the oil is flooding out of a small hole right behind the alternator in the engine block. I am not sure if this hole was originally plugged or if there was an oil line that has fallen out. If anyone can help me find this out...And possibly what size plug/oil line, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

Here is the hole in the engine block where the oil is leaking out of.

My L1501 which is not running at this time has a bolt in that hole. I bought it like this so I don't know if the bolt belongs or if it was put there because of oil leak. For your other question you may find some manuals on eBay or google it and you may fine something.

I just took a walk to the barn to look at my L185DT which I believe is the same motor/tractor as the gray market version you have. It is difficult to get a good look with the alternator in place, however behind all the oil/dirt I can see that there is what appears to be a small bump at that same site which may be the top of a stud. Looks to be about a 5 or 6 mm bump. Not a bolt there or an oil fitting. The oil pressure unit is on the same side of the engine but much closer to the driver.

I took a look at the pdf file that I have for parts for the L185DT and it shows a plug that fits in that spot. It gave 2 different parts numbers for the plug. The plug is listed as #008 on the crankcase. I can not attach the pdf files as they are much too large for the forum. I did a "google search" and found the pdf files on the internet. Here are the 2 different listings as copied from the pdf.

008 15221-33630 PLUG,PIN
008 15521-96020 PLUG,PIN

Hope this helps.

Is it threaded?
Unless you can find an oil line that is dangling and looks like it came from there, I would assume that it was plugged, and the plug came out. It looks like it has been weeping for some time, by the photo. If you can't find any reason not to, I'd get the proper size plug and install it.
