So it doesn't look like i will be able to fit a new tractor in the budget. Now looking to used. Still want the same size and specs.

L series
35-50hp
HST
Cab
Budget - $30k if that includes a FEL/Bucket that's a bonus.

Any suggestions? Some years better than others?

not trying to pry, but what did they quote you for a new 3560 or 4060 with just FEL bucket and ballast box? seeing as I'm looking at roughly the same tractor but just for different reasons I was quoted for the 3560 with upgraded FEL with 72" bucket on front with ballast box at 34048 without any haggling at all. that was the heavy duty 72" bucket. the 4760 equipped the same was 41883 USD, this is without taxes as I am ag exempt. anyway, good luck man, the L60s in person are pretty impressive quality....I have never owned anything kubota but I know they make the john deeres look like crap....4 and 5 series tractors with cabs are no where near the same quality. I'm currently saving as I may have to get the 4760.....but I may also try and jump to the 6060 because of the extra power and I hate anything that's underpowered. I'm considering trading in my scag Cheetah 72" zero turn as well and seeing if the kubota zero turn is better, or maybe just putting a belly mower on the L which is a nice option......down in texas in 100+ degree heat mowing several acres would be really nice in the AC.

If you are going to blow snow with this tractor, hold out for a L4760. I live in Southern Ontario (50 miles east of Lake Huron / snow belt) and recently took delivery of a L3560HSTCC equipped with a L4479 (74" front mount) snowblower. The L3560 is great in light snow but, in heavy or packed snow it is a major disappointment! The L4479 blower fits the Grand L60 series of tractors, (from 35 to 60hp). The dealer agrees that the L3560 is underpowered for this application and with Kubota are going to upgrade the L3560 to a L4760 (for a very reasonable $$ difference).
Because of our terrain, I also had Nokian (snow) tires installed on the L3560 and loaded them.
As previously mentioned many times on this forum, "there is no such thing as too much horsepower".

Thanks for the suggestion! i was actually looking at the 3560 or 4060 but perhaps i should look at the 4760.

I was quoted $58k for the 4060 with FEL/bucket and snow blower.

While discussing my concern about the L3560 inability to handle the L4479 snowblower, the Kubota dealer suggested that there would not be enough power difference between the L3560 (35hp) and the L4060 (40hp) and that I should go to the L4760 (47hp) for a significant increase in hp. There should not be much of a price difference between the L4060 and the L4760 because they both have identical engines (according to the sales brochure). There is a substantial price increase from the L3560 to the L4060 because of the longer wheelbase (3 cylinder vs. 4 cylinder) which requires a different FEL, and snowblower and backhoe undercarriage. Overall, the L60 series equipped with a cab is a ' dream machine' to operate, especially in the winter! It makes my favourite winter sport (snow removal) even more fun.......
Good Luck with your purchase.
