Fairly recent purchase about a year ago. Great machine. Recently starting to have a problem adjusting clutch. It was starting to grind a bit engaging the deck blades. Adjusted it to spec from manual. Worked great for next session of mowing. Went out to drive it again today and same problem. I can start the machine with deck engaged and it will mow. There are still threads on the turnbuckle, so I can adjust again. Just wondering if I am up against a clutch replacement, or some other problem. Would love to hear from experts here. Love the machine and am a Kubota fan now.

Yes you're probably going to need to split it and put a clutch in it.

I was also wondering about shortening the clutch rod. With it adjusted all the way in, there are still an inch of threads showing on both sides of the turnbuckle.
