Hey gang, quick but stupid questions. I just finished all my spring service (also my 50hr service) on my BX2370 except one last thing I wanted to run by everyone. My manual says to use SAE90 weight on my 60" gear box when changing the fluid. Is SAE90 the same as 80w-90? I cant find anything that is just sae90 but I know ive seen SAE30 weight motor in the past so I wanted to see what you all use and make sure I don't need to keep searching for something different. If 80w-90 is ok I plan on using some walmart stuff I already had on the shelf. It says on the bottle It meets the gl5 criteria so I assume its fine if the 80w90 is ok

Yep on the grade,, the multi oil refers to the given viscosity it acts like 8- weight but works like 90 ,just like in the car you put in 15w 30 or 5 w30 or what ever same thing with this, Im not sure but thisisnotastep maybe on to something, I really don't know about that

im still using sudt2 in my front axle but plan on changing to gear oil when I change. I think it will probably provide better wear protection. thanks guys I figured it was same similar to the oil guidelines, just wanted to make sure.

Use the stuff you have on the shelf. I have used 80W90 for the last 5 years on mine with NO problems. Wal-Mart stuff is PROBABLY the least expensive, and has the SAME rating as others.

Enjoy the BX ! ! I have USED, ABUSED, and MISUSED my BX2350 for over 6 years and it just stands there and asks "Is that all you got?" It is one tough little tractor and should serve you well. IMHO.
