In my area Kubota was a better deal on a LX 2610 tractor than a similar size JD. There are only 3 brands here than have any amount of actual in stock tractors. I just found out that some "toy" dealer is going or already has in stock Mirinda tractors. They claim in ads the price will be low. What say you?

I've owned a Deere prior to owning my current Kubota. They both make good products but the LX2610 was a much better offering than the 2025R in my opinion. Outside of those brands, the only other I would consider is a Massey Ferguson. I know that folks love thier New Holland/LS, Kioti, Mahindra, TYM/RK, Branson and Yanmar tractors, but they were not on my short list when I was purchasing. My decision was primarily based on dealership support. If a Kubota, Deere or Massey dealership were to fold nearby, I wouldn't need to drive hours to find another dealer. The same cannot be said for the other brands.

I tried, really had , to buy MF ( part of AGCO) but the dealer couldn't care less so I walked out with 24k in my wallet and the TLB is probably still in his dusty showroom.
Kubota dealer ( Galer) is within walking distance(ok...1/2 hr walk....), GREAT staff..they answered all my questions, delivered on time, full of fuel, everything was explained. that was 3 years ago, still happy.
Had I known the Mahindra dealer was a guy I've known for 30 years , I'd have at least 'kicked the tires'.
No way I'd buy a JD unit, after reading about the 'you don't OWN the tractor's computer' krap....

Going smaller..I was shopping for a 1025r tlb or bx23s. Both similarly equipped. JD was $6000 more. I took the 6g and upgraded to a Kubota B2601...again similarly equipped..again feel I ended up with much more tractor. Still waiting for it to arrive tho.😠

Like the list. I'd rate Yanmar a bit lower. I like them, but more in the MF/Kioti category than the Kubota/JD category.

You will need parts and timely service one day and in my books that means sticking with the traditional orange, green, blue and red brands - at least here in NA. Kubota parts have always been available for me at a reasonable price. I've never had issues with their motors. Pretty bullet proof in my books so far. I don't have all the new pollution controls to worry about which might be in my favour!

For many years, Shibaura made CUTs for New Holland. Now LX does. (I favored the Shibaura built ones). Most of the John Deere CUTs were made by Yanmar. Yanmar has always made great tractors, even if they had green paint.

I could be wrong but I believe the compact New Holland, LS and Case tractors are all made by the same manufacturer.

Yes, Just like Tohatsu makes about 70% of all smaller outboard motors and some larger ones too. It's all just branding and badging today!

May ot may not be a valid reason, but that’s one of the reasons I bought a Kubota. They are rather odd in that they not only actually make all their own CUTs and SCUTs but they make everything on them from loader to backhoe to (literally) everything in between.
