This morning,,,, 1 Ruby Throated hummer at the feeder, and 1 Baltimore Oriole up in the Ginko tree so I guess spring is here

Used to enjoy watching the Orioles when we wintered south; they used to frequent the hummer feeders we put up. We apparently have a Bullocks variety around here but I haven't seen it.

Andy I have seen some hummers in the GWN ,that I have no idea how the duce they manage to fly, biggest hummers I have ever seen

I might have seen a female oriole today. Rushed into the kitchen and put out two orange halves.

I'm easily confused - did you mean Orioles in the Great White North? No doubt in Southern Ontario they are probably common - Vancouver Island not so much as near as I have seen. Big hummers? got me - I don't know of anything bigger than the Anna's around here. Lots of small hummers elsewhere in Canada in summer. Andy we were fishing pretty far north in Ontario in the arctic water shed. Stopped in a little place to eat on the way up and they had a feeder right in the front window, and like I said the ones feeding would make 2 of the ones down here. I will have to dig through my thumb drives if I can remember how to use them and see if I have any pictures of them
